2019 International Workshop on Geocomputation for Social Sciences and Intelligent Geospatial Information Service

July 7-9, 2019 | Wuhan, China

The 2019 International Workshop on Geocomputation for Social Sciences and Intelligent Geospatial Information Service will be held in Wuhan, China on July 7-9, 2019. This workshop is organized and hosted by Wuhan University.

In order to further cope with the new developments, demands, technologies and challenges of the research field in geocomputation for social sciences and intelligent geospatial services, promote the interdisciplinary research and academic exchanges among researchers, Wuhan University organizes this international workshop to discuss the frontier and hot issues in the related fields. Experts, scholars, professionals and students at home and abroad interested in the workshop are welcomed to attend and participate.

The workshop also provides the technical training on methods, tools and platforms in the field of geocomputation for social sciences. Interested scholars and students are welcome to register.

1. Conference Topics

These include, but are not limited to:

 Research and application of night-light remote sensing images

 Theory and method of geocomputation for social sciences

 Spatiotemporal data mining and analysis

 Geospatial metrology

 Computation model of geographic social sciences

 Application of geographic social sciences

 Internet of Things and smart city

 Indoor map and location perception

 Three-dimensional geographic information system and virtual reality

 Social perception and geographical computation

 Urban agglomeration and spatial information service

2. Important Dates

 Abstract Due: April 30, 2019

 Notice of acceptance of abstract: May 15, 2019

 Registration ends: June 15, 2019

3. Registration

Registration fee

 Full Registration: 3000 CNY or 435 USD

 Student Registration: 2000 CNY or 290 USD

 Senior Registration: 2000 CNY or 290 USD (over 65 years old)

Registration refund policy

Cancellations before June 1, 2019, 50% will be retained. After June 1, 2019 no refund.

If you need the invitation letter, please contact the secretarite with following information:

1) Your Date of Birth; 2) Your Passport Number; 3) Your detailed workplace address, and 4) The digital receipt showing that you have successfully paid for the registration fee.

4. Submission

Participants are invited to electronically submit the abstract of the original, unpublished research contributions or experience reports not concurrently submitted elsewhere.

5. Publications

Authors can choose to submit either an abstract or a full paper. A selection of high quality abstract/papers, after refined, will be recommended to the Special Issue on Geocomputation for Social Sciences, Transactions in GIS.
