The 2011 International Workshop on Digital Cultural Heritage Modeling will be held on September 25-29, 2011 in Dunhuang, China, in close relation to the famous Buddhist Mogao Grottos. Spatially-related Cultural and Natural Heritage Modeling has become a major issue recently, both in research and practice. While we do have at our disposal many powerful devices for data acquisition, processing and representation, and many spectacular projects have been reported, there exist still a multitude of unsolved questions and problems when it comes to the definition of the products and the automation of the modeling process.
