Abstract:

Nowadays, 3D Models are a crucial tool for addressing economic, environmental and scientific issues, as well as, safety and security concerns. The two major solutions for high quality 3d modeling are Laser scanning and photogrammetric methods. In this presentation we will discuss our research regarding photorealistic 3d modeling and its application to diverse fields that varies from cultural heritage preservation, to anti-terrorist missions, to name a few.
