报告人简介：

Prof. Dr. Alexander Zipf is chair of GISscience at Heidelberg University since 10/2009. From 2007 and 2009 he led the chair of Cartography (Full Professor W3) at Bonn University and before that he was Professor for Applied Computer Science and Geoinformatics at the University of Applied Sciences FH Mainz (2003-2007). He has a background in Mathematics and Geography from Heidelberg University (1992-1996) and finished his PhD at the European Media Laboratory EML in Heidelberg (1997-2000), where he also worked as Postdoctoral Research Associate (2000-2003). From 2010 onwards he became member of the extended Board of Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing (IWR) at Heidelberg University. In 2012 he became founding member of Heidelberg Center for the Environment (HCE) at Heidelberg University. From 2012-2014 he is Managing Director of the Department of Geography, Heidelberg University. In 2011-2012 he acted as Vice Dean of the Faculty for Chemistry and Geosciences, Heidelberg University. Since 2012 he is regional editor of the ISI journal “Transaction in GIS”. He is also member of the editorial board of CEUS – Computer, Environment and Urban Systems, Elsevier, Journal of Location Based Services, Taylor & Francis and Future Internet, MDPI.
